The Creative Chicago Expo is a free, day-long event that connects Chicago’s arts community—individual artists, businesses and organizations working in dance, music, film, fashion, theater, visual arts, literary arts and design—with services, spaces, information, and networks.

Morethan 100 vendors will participate in this year’s Expo, including arts services, community organizations, arts educators, space and housing providers, health care and financial consultants and more.

Formally known as the Consult-a-thon, the Expo Experts allow individuals artiststo meet one-on-one with professional practicing artists in their field and experts in marketing, strategic planning, legal and accounting issues, and career coaching in all art disciplines. Sign up in advance online for a 45 minute appointment for only $15. (Limited to 3 appointments per person.)

Expo Experts will let you get feedback on a grant proposal from a funder, improve your website with advice from a marketing strategist, get tips from a casting director on successful auditioning, have your portfolio reviewedby curators and gallerists. Or talk board development and strategic planning with experts in the field.
