Amaral are on the precipice of something great here in North America. They’ve taken Europe, Latin America and their home country, Spain, by storm and are now poised to bring their powerful sound across the Atlantic to Canadian Music Week, Chicago, SXSW in Austin, and New York.
Hailng from Zaragosa, Spain, Eva Amaral has composed her own songs and played various instruments since she was a little girl, a veritable prodigy with music in her blood. Her partner in crime, Juan Aguirre, honed his chops in the psychedelic pop band Dias de Vino y Rosas, which garnered critical acclaim throughout Spain.
After moving to Madrid, the capital of Spain and the Spanish music industry, they signed to Virgin Records and released their first album, Amaral as a duo. The album established them as a mainstay in Spanish music, but they looked to strengthen their live show and round out their sound by pulling together a full band.
