Brazilian Independence Day Celebration

The Old Town School of Folk Music, in partnership with Marcos Oliviera and Swing Brasileiro and with support from the Brazilian Cultural Center and the Brazilian Consulate, presents a whirlwind tour of the music and dance of Brazil in celebration of the country’s independence. The show will begin with Moema Craviero Campos, Julie Koidin and Stela Brandeo performing Brazilian Choros. As the evening unfolds, we will build up speed with Old Town School instructors Paulinho Garcia, Dil Costa’s Folia Brasil Dance Group and Gingarte Capoeira. Also appearing: Forro Brasil and Swing Brasileiro.
