Casa de Arte y Cultura Calles y Sueños Chicago, will host on Saturday September 19th 2009, from 6 to 9 pm, the first Art Auction that joins artists from Juchitán, Oaxaca, México, and local Chicago artists. This activity is in the sprit of autonomy, mutuality, collectivity, and solidarity that we share with our counterpart in Juchitán, Oaxaca. The auction will raise much needed funds for the cultural work of both La Casa de Arte y Cultural Calles y Sueños/Chicago and La Casa de Arte y Cultura Calles y Sueños/Juchitán
Your support will fortify this crucial connection and go towards maintaining our self-determination, which we believe shapes our multifaceted identity. This auction is vitally important because it will provide the financial resources that fund our cultural action and gives each of you an opportunity to contribute your drop of self-determination to the future Calles y Sueños.
