Carlos Miguel Prieto Debut
The incomparable Yo-Yo Ma returns to Chicago for the world premiere of Dmitri Yanov-Yanovsky’s Cello Concerto. The composer’s music was most recently featured as part of Silk Road Chicago and was described as having a “haunting, otherworldly effect” by the Chicago Tribune.
Rising star Carlos Miguel Prieto makes his CSO subscription debut leading this program, which includes Shostakovich’s Sixth Symphony.
