About The Carnaval:

El Carnaval de Barranquilla dates back to the 19th century and was proclaimed by UNESCO, in November 2003, as one of the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

Apart from being one of Colombia’s most important stages for traditional cultural performance and preservation, it’s a party that completely paralyzes the Caribbean city of Barranquilla for not days, but weeks.
