Chicago Folk & Roots Festival: Nuestra Música
Nuestra Música: Latino Chicago is the result of a research project conducted in 2005 launched by the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage and co-sponsored by the Old Town School of Folk Music. The Folk & Roots staging of Nuestra Música has live performances, interviews, and dance workshops by the artists, children’s workshops, arts and crafts, and some of the displays from the Smithsonian Folklife Festival.

Saturday, July 10th

- 2:00p | Son Perú – Traditional Peruvian and Afro-Peruvian styles with guitar, percussion and vocals

- 3:00p | Ecos del Pacifico – Performance of Afro-Colombian music from the Pacific coast plus an Afro-Colombian percussion workshop
