Chicago Sinfonietta: Under the Night Sky

Do you remember gazing up at the night sky as a child and trying to imagine what an infinite universe might be? From the unforgettable theme of Strauss’ Also sprach Zarathustra to Gandolfi’s Garden of Cosmic Speculation and Ravel’s haunting Daphnis et Chloé, this concert poses all of the universal questions. What is out there? Why are we here? And how is it that certain melodies, arrangements, and sounds capture the vastness of space? We can’t promise any answers, but we can promise an evening of beautiful and inspiring music and breathtaking visuals.
