Children’s Choir of Morelia, Mexico

Founded in Morelia in  the 18th century, this prestigious children’s choir
is featured in the 2011 Chicago Youth in Music Festival. At the Art Institute,
under the direction of composer Javier Alvarez, these 36 young people,
ages 8-13, will present a repertoire that includes centuries old choral works.

Presented with the Consul General for Mexico in Chicago.
