Clarice Magalhães

Clarice Magalhães is a Brazilian singer and percussionist from Rio de Janeiro. She has performed, toured and recorded with a variety of groups, including the critically acclaimed Choro na Feira, before releasing her first solo album in December 2009. She specializes in Samba and Choro, singing with a seductive charm and showing off her extraordinary skill at the tambourine-like Pandeiro. Join her for her U.S. debut and record release party with Chicago’s top musicians.
Clarice will give a Pandeiro workshop as part of the Thursday Workshop Series.
