Born in Madrid and holding a degree in Danza Española, Concha Jareño was awarded in 2007 with the prize for the best single choreography in the Contest of Choreography of Danza Española and Flamenco in Madrid. Concha Jareño is a remarkable performer of this art, having performed in many different scenarios and festivals in Spain and abroad.

She started in 1998 with Rafael de Cordoba’s company. Then, she joined Yolanda Heredia’s project, “Mujeres al borde de una bata de cola”, where Concha Jareño shared the scenario with Belén Maya.

In March, 2008, she debuted with her own performing piece “ALGO”, in “Flamingo”, a flamenco festival that took place in Helsinki, Finland. She was a guest artist in “Flamenco viene del Sur” and also in the Festival of Jerez “Flamenco XXI: Café, Copa y Puro” of the company Dospormedio “Premio Revelación” Festival de Jerez 2008. In August of the same year, she chose the alternative Sala Triángulo de Madrid to do her long term performing season as a single artist; “Algo” and “Simplemente Flamenco” two excellent performing pieces where Concha Jareño decided not to mixture her two sides, but presenting them both separately: the flamenco one and another one much more personal.

Professor in the mythic school Amor de Dios, since 2004, she gives intensive courses around the world. Concha Jareño has also received national recognition in Spain receiving the national prize of Flamenco Art Cordoba 2007 Matilde Coral and Mario Maya.
