World Music Festival: Chicago 2011
DePedro (Spain)
DEPEDRO is the latest musical project of Jairo Zavala, the celebrated Spanish singer and musician. A veteran member of the Spanish rock scene, he has spent the last two decades performing with Amparanoia, Vacazul, Los Coronas and Calexico. DEPEDRO is his most personal music to date. The songs are intimate and compelling, evoking universal themes of memory, regret, love, fear, loss and happiness. His music seamlessly glides from Latin to Afrobeat to flamenco to prog to pop. This is a rare opportunity to see this acclaimed singer-songwriter in an intimate setting.
