Día de Muertos: Los Cojolites

On Friday October 30th Rockotitlán Chicago will be celebrating
Día de Muertos
Casa Michoacán
Altares, Cine, Música and Teatro.

From Veracruz, México the world reknown LOS COJOLITES. They interpret Son Jarocho, a style of music that has been booming in Chicago for a couple years now, influencing local bands as: FANDANGUERO, SON DEL VIENTO and TARIMA SON.

Also in the program we will be featuring a Oscar Gonzalez Iñiguez documentary “Tradiciones Mexicanas: Día de Muertos”, a play called “Ríete de la Muerte” with Hector de Alva and music by Benjamin Anaya & Los Extraños Unidos.
