Diógenes Lamarche

Self-taught Dominican visionary artist Diógenes Lamarche will be featured in the first Art & Beats show at the Wicker Well. Diógenes’ art is inspired by mystic and shamanic experience, dreams, meditation, and attempts to integrate all this into daily life. His art fuses mandalas, sacred geometry, and transcultural symbolism with high quality mixed media. Visit CosmicSensorium.com
to get an on-screen sample of his work. Be warned – what you will see on your screen does little justice to the outstanding large format glicée prints you’ll see at the show.

Wicker Well (formerly El Señorial) is an up and coming Art Gallery / Bar in Wicker Park, one of the established art-hub neighborhoods in Chicago. The no-cover exhibit opens on March 29, 2009, and will be musicalized by SuperToy’s eclectic blend and mash of urban beats.

Art & Beats is a bi-weekly, 21+ free event organized by Pilsen-based Up Side Down Question Mark Promotions. We seek to promote and support the work of local contemporary artists, musicians, and DJs in the Chicago-land area.
