Son Jarocho is the music that forms the base repertoire of Fandanguero. They have come together to interpret the Son Jarocho style, fusing several rhythms like Cuban son, Afro-Peruvian rhythms and hints of samba and flamenco. Fandanguero formed in the Pilsen community of Chicago. With a distinct style and their brilliant versatility, Fandanguero has earned the respect and support of the community by creating a performance of true festival color and joy, that invites one’s body to dance, the mind to think and the soul to feel. www.fandanguero.net
