Modern Wing Opening Day

Free Admission Opening Week!
In celebration of the opening of the Modern Wing, admission to the whole museum is free for an entire week, May 16 – 22. Get familiar with the Modern Wing and newly reopened galleries throughout the museum with a special schedule of gallery talks, occurring daily at 11:00, 1:00, and 3:00. During each time slot, six different talks will take place in six separate galleries -that’s 18 artworks and 18 talks a day! In the new Ryan Education Center, families can build their own miniature Modern Wing at the Built Environment; just drop in between 11:00 and 3:00 any day.
Join in the community spirit of this exciting week celebrating the Modern Wing and all of Chicagoland by bringing in nonperishable food items for the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
