Workshop Bulerias por Fiesta

Team Taught by Timo Lozano, Patty Ortega and Wendy Clinard

Come participate in this unique opportunity to integrate your flamenco studies. By way of compas (caja), cante and baile. Students will learn a few marking steps,cambios, remates, and llamdas. We will then apply the “paseos” to various bulerias letras and estribillos. We will teach the structure as well as the “flexibility or improvisation” around the structure.

Students will share their workshop studies in Chicago’s Open Studio walk. This is an evening when the public roam the various artist studios in Pilsen.

WHEN: JULY 8 and 9th 6:30-8:30p

On July 9th we will open the studio to the public and share a BULERIAS JAM.
