Mexican Pianist Mauricio Nader
The Consul General de México in Chicago Amb. Manuel Rodríguez Arriaga requests the pleasure of your company at The Latino Music Festival 2009 opening concert featuring internationally noted Mexican pianist Mauricio Nader H.E. Arturo Sarukhán Ambassador of Mexico to the United States will honor the evening with his presence.
Internationally noted Mexican Pianist Mauricio Nader has been the featured pianist in over 600 concerts, performing since he was nine years old. Through the prestigious Prince of Asturias Foundation (1944) he toured internationally. He performed for Prince of Asturias Felipe de Borbón (2008) and for the President of France Nicolas Sarkozy (2009) during their official visits to Mexico. Works by Manuel Ponce as well as modern and contemporary Mexican composers will be featured.
This concert is presented by The Consulate General of Mexico, in cooperation with The Art Institute of Chicago, the Latino Music Festival and The International Latino Cultural Center.
