Milton Nascimento and the Jobim Trio

A celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Bossa Nova
Rio de Janeiro-native Milton Nascimento is famous for his collaboration with Wayne Shorter for their celebrated 1974 recording, Native Dancer. To mark bossa nova’s 50th birthday, this purest and soaring-est of singers will make a rare appearance in Chicago with guitarist Paulo Jobim and pianist Daniel Jobim, son and grandson of the late, great “Tom,” and Jobim’s longtime drummer, Pauolo Braga. Their new CD, Novas Bossas, both honors and twists the bossa nova tradition.
