Tango Fire
“Tango Fire” makes January in Chicago sizzle when it brings
the seductive glory of the tango—Argentina’s gift to the world.
“Tango Fire” takes a journey from the red light district of Buenos Aires,
to the glamour of the Roaring Twenties, into the world of contemporary ballroom dance with one of the most alluring and exciting dance forms, known for its sensuality and intrigue, lust, raw energy and knife-edge precision. The Boston Herald says “these glamorous men and women are the finest tango artists I’ve ever seen,” and the Boston Globe says “rarely has the tempestuous tango looked like so much exuberant, out-and-out fun …This is tango with a big smile and boisterous high jinks performed by 10 exquisitely skilled dancers with spirit and charisma to match.”
“Tango Fire,” with choreographic direction by Yanina Faiar and group choreography by Faiar and Nelson Celis, features an onstage quartet of brilliant young musicians, 10 passionate dancers and one lustrous singer performing the music of the legendary Astor Piazzolla and other great tango composers.
