In its 3rd year, Tablao Flamenco with Chiara Mangiameli and her Students is an annual showcase that gives Ms. Mangiameli’s students an opportunity to perform the flamenco repertoire they learn in the classroom with professional live musicians in an intimate theatrical setting.

Several dance pieces will be performed displaying the dynamic range and various styles that make up the art form of flamenco, as well as a few surprises….

About Chiara Mangiameli:

A native Italian, flamenco singer and dancer Chiara Mangiameli has been performing on national as well as international stages for nearly a decade. In addition to co-founding the contemporary flamenco group Idilio with whom she made her recording debut in 2009, Chiara has collaborated with Las Guitarras De España, El Payo, Clinard Dance Theater and Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater. In 2008 she was awarded one of twenty five coveted positions in Jacobs Pillow School of Dance Cultural Traditions Program studying intensely under Soledad Barrio and members of Noche Flamenca.

A sought after flamenco teacher Chiara has been invited to teach workshops and give educational presentations at Institutions such as the Cervantes Institute, Columbia college and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
