Teresa Wilms Montt is talented, beautiful and tormented. Discouraged by her family, she marries at the young age of 17 and soon finds a forbidden love. As a form of punishment she is sent away and put under lock and key at the Preciosa Sangre Convent. Separated from her two daughters Teresa is able to escape to Buenos Aires where her life will take a passionate and tragic turn.
