Tweetup: Beyond a career, find your calling!

LATISM Chicago and Latina Smart have joined forces to host a fun and insightful Tweetup focused on the growing professional opportunities available beyond the boardroom.

Hispanics are important catalysts for industry trends and change and our impact continues to grow exponentially. Achieving degrees and maintaining relevancy in today’s world is essential. However, we must recognize that now more than ever we have the opportunity to pursue careers that do more than just “bring home the bacon.” Opportunities that speak to our hearts, fulfill our lives and strengthen our community.

Listen and speak to three (3) incredibly intelligent and progressive thinkers as they share how they’ve carved their path in life to answer their calling – beyond the “bored” room, they are living their dreams and living fulfilling lives while making a living!

Panelists

Dr. Miguel A. Corona – Two decades of professional experience focusing on understanding the social and cultural factors that impact Latino career choice and professional success. Founder of AdMentis Latino Talent Solutions, an independent consulting firm dedicated to assisting organizations tap the growing Latino workforce.

Alex Meda – Executive Director Teatro Luna, Activist, Consultant to Non-profit organizations and talented artist.

Silvana Tabares - Managing Editor for Extra Newspaper; one of the nation’s leading bilingual weeklies. Silvana looks to bring her experience and dedication to the office of Illinois State Representative of the 21st District.
